Kings, Crooks
and Elephants
The History of the Makuleke goes back to the early
African Kingdoms and the Biblical Gold of Ophir, when
thes sold their ivory to India and bought porcelain
from China.
Crooks settled on their land and traded guns and slaves
and hunted elephants. The Makuleke a clan within the
tribe of the Shangaan became knpwn throughout the
country as the first tribe to successfully reclaim
(restitution) their ancestral land in the New South
Africa.
